VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. expects demand to remain robust in the current year despite elections in some states.
Private weather forecasting agency Skymet's projection of a normal monsoon is good news for the agriculture industry including equipment manufacturers, KU Subbaiah, chief executive officer of VST Tillers Tractors told BloombergQuint. “Ten percent sales growth this year is possible,” he added.
The company could undertake price hikes in response to increased commodity costs, according to Subbaiah. “If our industry peers are successful in hiking prices, then probably we will also follow suit.”
