Passenger carrier SpiceJet announced new flights from Mumbai to a host of international destinations. The new direct non-stop international flights will be operated from Mumbai to Hong Kong, Jeddah, Dubai, Colombo, Dhaka, Riyadh, Bangkok and Kathmandu, starting from May-end, the airline said in a press release. The carrier will also start daily direct flights on Mumbai-Colombo, Mumbai-Dhaka, Mumbai-Riyadh, Mumbai-Hong Kong and Mumbai-Kathmandu sectors. The airline will be deploying its Boeing 737 NG aircraft on the new routes, according to the release.

SpiceJet will also enhance its operations between Mumbai and Dubai with two additional frequencies, the airline said in a statement. The carrier already connects Mumbai with a non-stop flight to Dubai, it added.

Last week, SpiceJet announced six new domestic flights connecting Mumbai with Kolkata, Chennai and Varanasi. It also introduced a new daily direct flight connecting Mumbai with Bangkok. While the domestic flights will be effective from April 18, the international flight to Bangkok will start from May 17.

Meanwhile, rival carrier IndiGo announced the addition of domestic flights from Mumbai and Delhi. The additional daily flights will be operated on Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Chennai, Mumbai-Bengaluru, Delhi-Kolkata and Delhi-Bhubaneshwar routes, the airline said in a press release. Bookings for the flights are open via airline's official website, goindigo.in.

Vistara, on the other hand, has announced 10 per cent discount on domestic flight tickets. The fare is applicable for a minimum of 4 passengers for economy class (except economy lite fare) on a single ticket booking, according to the airline's website. GoAir is offering domestic flight tickets at a starting all-inclusive ticket price of Rs. 1,375 in a limited-period sale.
