Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Singham Returns' maintained momentum on its 2nd day at the Box office. The movie grossed 21 crores (approx) on its 2nd day taking the total count to about Rs 53 crores, said the Bollywood website koimoi.com.
Released on August 15, 'Singham Returns' is a sequel to 'Singham', which turned out to be a blockbuster in 2011. It also stars Kareena Kapoor.
The Independence Day offering, directed by Rohit Shetty, has received a positive feedback from critics as well as audiences.
Singham Returns had collected about Rs Rs.32.09 crore on its opening day, surpassing Salman Khan's Kick which had received 26 crore on its first day, as per Koimoi.com.
Salman Khan-starrer Kick, which was released on the 25th July has so far collected 230.05 crores, said the Kiomoi.com. Though its momentum has slowed down after the release of Singham Returns, the movie is still on path of breaking records.
If the net India figures are considered, Kick is already the 3rd highest grosser of all time after Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3, the website said.
