TVS Motor Company Ltd.'s volumes rose in October, driven by its scooter sales.
Total sales increased 3 percent year-on-year to over 3.17 lakh units, the maker of Jupiter scooters said in an exchange filing.
Scooter sales rose 15.7 percent to 1.07 lakh units, while motorcycle numbers advanced 3.2 percent to 1.25 lakh units. Three-wheeler sales rose 88.3 percent to 9,047 units.
The company exported 45,437 units in October, a growth of 29.3 percent over the same month last year.
Shares of the auto company closed 2.25 percent lower compared to a 0.2 percent decline in the S&P BSE Auto Index.
