NTPC Ltd.'s offer for sale for employees of 2.06 crore equity shares, was subscribed 85 percent, said a report by the Press Trust of India.
The company said that the offer for sale will fetch the government Rs 202 crore.
With over 10,000 employees applying for 1.7 crore shares, NTPC said that this was the highest employee participation in a divestment process of a company post an offer for sale.
