LTIMindtree CEO Debashis Chatterjee Retires Early, Venu Lambu To Take Over

Chatterjee took early retirement due to personal reasons, according to an exchange filing on Friday.

LTIMindtree Ltd. Chief Executive Officer Debashis Chatterjee is retiring early and will be succeeded by Venu Lambu.

The board of directors appointed Lambu as the CEO and managing director, with effect from May 31, 2025, at the company's Annual General Meeting.

Chatterjee took early retirement due to personal reasons, according to an exchange filing on Friday.

Chatterjee's term was initially until Nov. 13, 2025, and Lambu was working closely with him to ensure a "seamless leadership transition", the company said.

"As I reflect on my journey with LTIMindtree, I am filled with humility and pride. Leading this organisation from its formative days has been an honor, and I take immense satisfaction in the foundations we've built for future success. I am confident that under Venu's capable leadership, LTIMindtree will continue to thrive and reach new milestones," Chatterjee said.

Lambu's focus will be on the value propositions of applications, cloud services, infrastructure, and edge computing.

He is also an advocate of artificial intelligence adoption, as he is of the opinion that AI can drive significant productivity across large enterprises, the company said.

Lambu is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and chairs many customer advisory councils in North America and Europe.

He was also the CEO of Randstad Digital, the digital arm of Randstad, before he rejoined LTIMindtree.

The CEO designate has also had leadership positions in companies such as Cognizant, HCL Technologies, and IBM.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, India and General Management Certification from the London Business School.
