Kernex Microsystems Awarded Rs 325-Crore Project By Southeastern Railways
The project is expected to be completed within 1,000 days, or nearly three years, from the appointed date, Kernex Microsystems said.
Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd. received a letter of acceptance for a project worth Rs 325.33 crore from the Southeastern Railways.
The contract includes "supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Kavach on GD and GQ routes" along with associated works on section of Kharagpur and Chakradharpur division of Southeastern Railway, according to an exchnage filing on Thursday.

Earlier in December 2024, Kernex Microsystems bagged a Rs 2,041.4-crore contract from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works. "We were expecting this order for six months and have prepared our execution capabilities accordingly," the company's Chief Operating Officer EB Rao had then said.
In the quarter ended Dec. 31, the company had recorded a profit of Rs 713.51 crore as compared to a loss of Rs 856.45 crore in the same period last year. Its revenue rose multifold to Rs 36.81 crore as against Rs 8.31 crore in the December 2023 quarter.
Shares of Kernex Microsystems on Thursday closed 3.86% higher at Rs 847.45 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, compared to a 0.01% fall in the benchmark Nifty 50. The stock has risen by 26.87% in the last 12 months.
