Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. (KPTL) has secured two turnkey projects worth Rs 1,900 crore in Senegal and Afghanistan, the company said in a filing on NSE.
The first order worth Rs 1,340 crore involves the construction of a 225 KV transmission line and a substation in Senegal. The project will be financed by the Exim bank, under the National Export Assurance Account (NEIA) buyer credit scheme.
The other project, funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB), will include the construction of a 500 KV transmission line in Afghanistan. KTPL has bagged this project through one of its joint ventures and will secure Rs 575 crore as its share.
Shares of the company rose nearly 4 percent to Rs 266 by 12 noon on BSE.
