Salman Khan-starrer Kick has moved into the box-office record books. Kick is now the fourth highest Bollywood grosser of all time and the biggest for the actor, says trade website koimoi.com.
Kick has so far grossed nearly Rs 233 crore net at the domestic box office, says the website, also topping 2014 charts.
Kick's success makes Salman Khan the first Bollywood actor to have seven Rs 100 crore movies to his credit: Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had said in a tweet.
In terms of gross collection, Kick's made a business of Rs 378 crore worldwide, taking it to the position of being Bollywood's fourth-highest worldwide grosser, according to koimoi.com's figures, behind 3 Idiots (Rs 395 crore), Chennai Express (Rs 422 crore) and Dhoom 3 (Rs 542 crore).
Kick is a remake of the hit 2009 Telegu film of the same name and the screenplay for the Hindi version was adapted by Chetan Bhagat and Sajid Nadiadwala, who's also the director-producer of the movie. The film has been released under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner.
Kick also marks the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala. With Kick, director Sajid Nadiadwala has also moved into record books. He has become the first director whose debut movie has grossed over Rs 200 crore. (With Agency Inputs)
