Farm equipment maker Escorts Ltd.'s sales rose 13.8 percent year-on-year in October, driven by strong export growth.
The tractor maker sold 10,001 units in the domestic market, a jump of 12.9 percent, while exports surged 83.8 percent to 204 units, the Faridabad-based company said in an exchange filing.
Total units sold duing the month jumped to 10,205 units from 8,970 units a year ago.
Shares of Escorts gained as much as 2.73 percent to Rs 781 on the BSE, compared to a 0.72 percent of rise in the S&P BSE Sensex. The stock has surged nearly 160 percent so far this year, compared to a 25.52 percent jump for the benchmark index.
