The Philippine Senate will question President Rodrigo Duterte's power to unilaterally cancel international treaties, including a military deal with the United States he terminated last month.

Senators from the majority and the opposition adopted Monday a resolution asking the top court to rule if canceling treaties, including the Visiting Forces Agreement, would need Senate approval.
