Coal India Misses Production Target In May
New Delhi: State-run Coal India on Wednesday said it achieved a production of 42.58 million tonnes last month, lower than the target of 44.64 million tonnes (MT).   During the months of April and May, the miner produced 82.93 MT of coal against the target of 89.12 MT (provisional), Coal India Ltd (CIL) said in a filing to the BSE.   Coal offtake in May was at 45.53 MT, lower than the targeted level of 50.90 MT for the month.   In Apr...
