(Bloomberg) -- Chad's President Idriss Deby has sacked his finance minister and replaced him with a former head of the state oil company, according to a statement from the presidency.

Taher Hamit Nguilign, a former deputy governor of the Bank of Central African States who previously served as director-general of Societe des Hydrocarbures du Tchad, replaces Mahamat Allali Abakar, who has held the post since September, according to a decree read on state television.

Mahamat Abali Salah, who previously served as minister of territorial administration, was named defense minister. He is replaced by Ismael Chaibo, the former head of the National Security Agency.
