Andhra Bank Says 5.27 Lakh 'Jan Dhan' Accounts Opened Across its Branches

As many as 5.27 lakh basic savings bank deposit accounts have been opened in Andhra Bank branches across the country as a part of the 'Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan' financial inclusion scheme.

Hyderabad: As many as 5.27 lakh basic savings bank deposit accounts have been opened in Andhra Bank branches across the country as a part of the 'Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan' financial inclusion scheme.

"All our 2,147 branches have organised camps. Kits containing passbook, Ru-Pay card and Financial Literacy Material were handed over on August 28 for the Basic Savings Bank Deposit account holders," the lender said in a release in Hyderabad.

"In all, at Andhra Bank 5.27 lakh Basic Savings Bank Deposit accounts opened across the Country."
