Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. has submitted an application to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board seeking permission to lay a new LPG pipeline connection, according to a public notice issued by the regulator on Wednesday.

The proposed project involves establishing a new source tie-in connectivity between the existing Mundra-Mithi Rohar (Kandla) LPG pipeline and the Kandla-Gorakhpur LPG pipeline.

This application has been filed under Regulation 21 of the PNGRB (Authorising Entities to Lay, Build, Operate and Expand Petroleum and Petroleum Products Pipelines) Regulations, 2010.

The move is part of Adani Ports' continuing efforts to strengthen infrastructure around its flagship Mundra Port, improve energy logistics, and support the government's broader agenda of improving LPG access and distribution across the country.

The PNGRB has initiated the public consultation process in accordance with Regulation 21(7). The board is now inviting written comments and suggestions from the public, industry stakeholders, and entities concerned regarding the proposed connectivity. These views must be submitted within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice on the PNGRB website.

To facilitate transparency, the comments received will be published on the PNGRB website for public reference. Additionally, the regulator will organise an open house discussion for those who submit feedback, with details regarding the date and time to be shared separately.
