Pixel 10 Teaser Mocks iPhone’s Siri

Google openly mocked the delayed AI capabilities of the Apple iPhone, especially regarding Siri’s AI integration, in a recent teaser for the Pixel 10 series. "If you buy a new phone because of a feature that’s coming soon… But, it’s been coming soon for a full year… You could change your definition of soon. Or you could just… change your phone,” the teaser narrated.

iPhone 17 Launch Date Tipped

Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 17 series on Sept. 9, according to a report from the German outlet iPhone-ticker.de. Apple is likely to launch the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max at the launch event.

Instagram Features Unveiled

Instagram introduced new features, including a newly added repost section that enables users to share what they like, a ‘Friends’ tab in Reels, which allows users to see their friends’ interests, and Instagram maps, which enables users to share their last active location with select friends.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Delay

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a are anticipated to be available for purchase only in October. In contrast to the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL, which may be available for sale in late August, the other devices will experience delays reportedly due to supply chain issues.

WhatsApp Bans Over 6.8 Million Accounts

During the first half of 2025, WhatsApp banned more than 6.8 million accounts associated with scam operations, as reported by parent company Meta. "Some of the most prolific sources of scams are criminal scam centres, often fuelled by forced labour and operated by organised crime primarily in Southeast Asia,” Meta said.

OpenAI’s GPT-5 Released

OpenAI introduced GPT-5, its most sophisticated AI model, with the company claiming it delivers improved capabilities in areas like coding, mathematics, writing, healthcare, visual recognition, and more. According to OpenAI, GPT-5 can discern when to offer rapid answers and when to delve into more profound reasoning to provide expert-level responses.

Infinix GT 30 Launched

The Infinix GT 30, a smartphone designed for gaming, boasts a Cyber Mecha Design 2.0, GT Shoulder Gaming Triggers, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, vapor chamber cooling system, 6.78-inch 1.5K Amoled display, and a camera set comprising 64MP Sony IMX682 primary lens, 8MP ultrawide, and 13MP selfie shooter.
