US Market Wrap

US stock futures were flat on Friday after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Asian Market Wrap

Asian stocks were poised for a subdued start on Friday as the strong rebound in global equities over the past week showed signs of losing momentum.

Futures for Japan and Hong Kong indicated slight declines, while Australian shares opened lower.

Chinese equities will attract attention after JPMorgan Chase & Co. upgraded its rating to “overweight,” citing that the potential for significant gains next year outweighs the risk of major losses.

Commodity Check

Meanwhile, gold remained steady and is on track for its fourth consecutive monthly increase, supported by expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut rates next month.

Bullion hovered near $4,170 an ounce on Friday, marking a gain of over 2% for the week. A series of comments from Fed officials and the release of delayed economic data have strengthened the case for lower borrowing costs, which typically favor gold since it does not yield interest.
