Bitcoin Extends Rally After US Congress Passes Stablecoin Bill
Bitcoin continued to gain for three sessions following first step from US Administration to regulate the sector. The US Congress passed a stablecoin Bill last week which proposes oversight of dollar-linked stablecoins.
Bitcoin was trading 0.36% higher at 118,395.3 as of 8:54 a.m.
"The crypto market continues its upward momentum, briefly hitting the $4 trillion market cap for the first time over the weekend. Consistent inflows into the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, totalling close to $4.5 billion in the past week, helped sustain the ongoing rally," said Edu Patel, co-founder and CEO of Mudrex.
While BTC consolidates near the $118,000 level, ETH is trading at a 7-month-high of $3700, supported by the passage of the GENIUS Act, crucial for the ETH ecosystem. With the FOMC meeting approaching, any dovish signals could push BTC towards $125,000, with support at $116,000 maintaining the bullish structure, Patel said.

Oil prices remained steady in early Asia trade as market participants focused on US trade negotiations and European Union's restrictions on Russia oil productions. Last week the bloc imposed a fresh set of sanctions on Russia for its war against Ukraine, which includes curb on Russia-made fuels and lower price caps.
The Brent crude was trading 0.01% down at $69.25 a barrel as of 8:10 a.m.

Markets in mainland China held to its earlier gains after the People's Bank of China kept rates unchanged. The central bank held one-year loan prime rate and five-year loan prime rate unchanged at 3.0% and 3.5%, respectively.
The CSI 300 was trading 0.27% higher at 4,069.56 as of 7:35 a.m. The Nikkei 225 and S&P ASX 200 were trading 0.21% and 1% down, respectively as of 7:35 a.m.
US Market Update: S&P 500 And Nasdaq 100 Futures Rise
US stock futures advanced in early Asia trade as market participants eye earnings from big technology companies and development on trade negotiations.
Both the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 futures were trading 0.11% higher, while the Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.19% higher.
GIFT Nifty Implies Positive Open; HDFC Bank, Eternal, RIL Shares In Focus
The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.04% or 11 points higher at 25,032.50 as of 6:52 a.m., which implied a positive start for the NSE Nifty 50 index.
Market participants will keep a close watch on HDFC Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., RBL Bank Ltd., AU Small Finance Bank Ltd. because of the first quarter results released over the weekend. Reliance Industries Ltd., Mastek Ltd., and JSW Steel Ltd. shares will be in focus too.
Eternal Ltd., Mahindra Logistics Ltd., and Oberoi Realty Ltd. shares will also likely be in focus ahead of first quarter earning results.
India's benchmark equity indices logged a third consecutive session of losses on Friday, pulled down by banks and other financial stocks ahead of major earnings report from heavyweights Reliance Industries Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd.
The NSE Nifty 50 closed 143.05 points or 0.57% down at 24,968.4, while BSE Sensex ended 501.51 points or 0.61% lower at 81,757.73.
