Good morning, welcome to NDTV Profit's blog for live market coverage. The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened slightly higher. However, the indices erased gains as Bharti Airtel Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd. shares weighed. RBL Bank share price rose as Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. sold stake in the company.

IPO News: MTR-Parent Orkla Shares Debut At Nearly 3% Premium Over IPO Price

Orkla India Ltd. listed on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday at Rs 750.10 apiece, a premium of 2.75% over its issue price of Rs 730 apiece.

On the BSE, the stock debuted at Rs 751.50, a 2.95% premium.

The Rs 1,668-crore IPO saw a tepid response on its launch day but was subscribed 3.7 times on the final day.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. sold stakes in RBL Bank Ltd, the private lender said in an exchange filing. This stake sale followed Emirates NBD's announcement late October of an open offer for 26% stake in RBL Bank.

RBL Bank share price rose 2.52% to Rs 332 apiece.

The NSE Nifty PSU Bank rose 0.71% to a new high of 8,391.55. The index was trading 0.45% higher at 8,370 as of 9:25 a.m.

Sectoral Performance At Open: Nifty Metal Falls The Most 

On National Stock Exchange, nine sectoral indices advanced, five sectoral indices declined out of 15. The NSE Nifty Metal declined the most, and the NSE Auto rose the most.

Opening Bell: Nifty, Sensex Open Slightly Higher 

The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened slightly higher as Reliance Industries Ltd. and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. shares supported. Gains in global equities also supported the benchmark indices.

The indices were trading 0.28% and 0.41% higher, respectively as of 9:20 a.m.

  • The yield on the 10-year bond opened flat at 6.52%

BPCL, Dabur, Godrej Consumer, HUL, NTPC Dividends: Last Day To Buy Shares To Qualify

Shares of Bharat Petroleum Corp., Dabur Ltd., Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. will be of interest on Thursday, as the day marks the last session for investors to buy shares to qualify for receiving the dividend before the stock goes ex/record-date.

The record date determines the eligible shareholders who will receive the dividend payment. The ex-dividend date, which mostly coincides with the record date, marks when the share price adjusts to reflect the upcoming payout.

Top brokerages hiked the target price for Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. following robust second-quarter results of the company. According to Goldman Sachs, the risk-reward ratio of the stock looks attractive.

In Bareilly's sugar belt, a company that once bought cane from farmers is now under auction orders for unpaid dues. Yet, even as production remains halted, Oswal Overseas Ltd.'s share price has risen 2,426% since March, turning a small sugar producer into one of the year's most actively traded penny stocks.

The Delhi-headquartered firm reported zero revenue and a Rs 1.99-crore loss for the July–September quarter of FY26. GE Vernova T&D India Ltd., Fortis Healthcare Ltd. One 97 Communication Ltd., and Siemens Energy shares will likely react as these got added to MSCI Global Standard Index in MSCI November rejig.

Indian benchmark indices concluded the trading session in negative territory on Monday, with the Nifty 50 closing below the critical 25,600 mark amid broad-based selling pressure across the entire market.
