The Nothing Phone 3a series has been launched today at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. The series features two new smartphones: Nothing Phone 3a and Nothing Phone 3a Pro. The British consumer electronics manufacturer, led by Carl Pei, is renowned for its innovative and Red Dot award-winning design for the Nothing phones. The Nothing Phone 3a packs a new chipset, an upgraded camera system, tweaks in design while retaining the famed transparent back and Glyph LED system, and AI-powered features.

Nothing Phone 3a Chipset: The phones are powered the 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset with AI engine.

Nothing Phone 3a Operating System: Nothing OS 3.1 powered by Android 15, with three years of Android updates and six years of security patches.

Nothing Phone 3a Design: The new Phone 3a maintains the design language of the Phone 2a with its transparent back panel, glyph lighting interface, and centred horizontal camera module. The Phone (3a) series is characterised by clean, geometric shapes, flat surfaces and straight sides. The rear design shows a pill-shaped camera module with three sensors. There is a round camera module on the Pro model that protrudes significantly. There is a slight alteration in internal component layout (visible through the transparent back) and design of camera ring around the lenses.

Nothing Phone 3a Display: The Nothing Phone 3a and Pro both have a 6.77-inch, 120Hz AMOLED screen with 3,000 nits of maximum brightness.

Nothing Phone 3a Camera: The Nothing Phone 3a has a 50MP OIS primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor, with 50MP telephoto and 32MP front camera. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro also packs a 50MP OIS primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor but with a periscope camera instead of telephoto, allowing users to zoom in optically, plus a 50 MP front camera.
