The iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Air are expected to come in a titanium design, according to a report.
GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu stated that iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Air, which are to be unveiled in 2026, will have a titanium frame, reported BGR.
Pu also mentioned that the anticipation for the iPhone 17 series has reduced due to the deficiency of Apple's Intelligence features.
According to media reports, the iPhone 17 series will feature aluminium and glass finishes. However, reports also suggest that the iPhone 17 Air could come in a titanium design.
BGR reported that Apple is expected to launch an iPhone Fold in 2026. Earlier, it was speculated to come with a design akin to that of the Galaxy Z Flip. But Apple could opt for a Z Fold-like style instead, according to BGR.
The iPhone Fold is expected to come with a 7.8-inch crease-free inner display and a 5.5-inch outer screen. Apple could partner with companies like Anthropic and OpenAI to provide AI features.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has asked these companies to train their AI models to run on its Private Cloud Compute servers.
A Touch ID integrated into the Side Button could replace the Face ID in the iPhone Fold. According to BGR, Face ID sensors could be too thick for the first generation.
Reports suggest the device could come with a dual-lens system for the rear camera and a front-facing lens. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the gadget could have a thickness of 9 to 9.5 mm when folded and 4.5 to 4.8 mm when unfolded.
BGR noted that achieving such slimness would be impressive. It compares this to the 12.1 mm thickness of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 when folded.
Jeff Pu said that Apple may be developing two foldable iPhones, with sizes of 7.9-inch and 8.3-inch.
The iPhone Fold could run on an A20 or A20 Pro chip.
As per a report by MacRumors, the foldable iPhone could feature a new type of display panel developed by Samsung.
