Tandon believes that the market has completed 60% of a risk-off environment, with 40% still remaining. He also emphasized that the shift from small and midcaps to largecaps is a gradual process.

Rupee Vs Dollar Live: More Losses For Local Currency

The Indian rupee's recent significant single-day gain, its largest in nearly two years, surprised traders. However, this appreciation is likely to be temporary due to anticipated monetary easing and increased global volatility.

DBS Bank forecasts the rupee weakening to 88.8 per dollar by mid-2025, and IDFC First Bank predicts a decline to 89.50 by December. This volatility contrasts with the rupee's stability over the past two years and is testing the new central bank chief's approach to managing exchange rate fluctuations.

The Reserve Bank of India reportedly intervened to curb speculation this week, with estimates of their intervention reaching $11 billion over two days. Nevertheless, analysts believe the central bank's support will be limited as it prioritizes policy easing and boosting liquidity.
