Stock Market Live: Market At Close

Benchmark indices closed relatively flat today, showing a slight positive bias and marking their second consecutive day of gains. Nifty 50 closed 0.06% higher at 25,212 while the Sensex ended 63 points higher at 82,634. The top gainers leading Nifty's advance were Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra.

Among the sectoral indices, Nifty PSU Bank emerged as the top gainer, climbing over 1% for the day. PNB and Punjab & Sind Bank were the top performers within the PSU Bank sector.

The Nifty Midcap 150 closed flat but extended its winning streak to three consecutive days, along with the Nifty Smallcap 250.

Financials, Nifty Auto, Media, and Realty all posted gains for the third consecutive day. Nifty Oil & Gas rose for the second day in a row, and Nifty FMCG extended its positive run to a fourth consecutive day. Nifty Metal snapped its two-day gaining streak, and Nifty Pharma ended a three-day streak of gains.

Rupee depreciates by 13 paise against US dollar to close at 85.94. Rupee is the third-worst performer in Asia, according to Bloomberg.

The India volatility index fell by about 2% after the markets saw stable levels through the day.

Stock Market Live: M&M, Wipro, SBI Top Gainers 

Names like Mahindra and Mahindra, Wipro and SBI were leading gains in the index. Nestle and Tech Mahindra were also trading in the green.

Shriram Finance marked the deepest losses in the lot, dragging the index down as it was down 2.05%. Names like Eternal, Sun Pharma and Tata Steel were also pulling on the index along with JSW Steel.

Shares of Varun Beverages spiked 2.37% during intraday trade on Wednesday. The company recorded a large block transaction involving 1.24 million shares during the market hours.

Market Live: ITC Hotels Share Price Swings After Q1 Result

ITC Hotels Ltd. share price declined 1.44% at intraday but later recovered losses to trade 0.53% higher after the company reported its Q1 results on Wednesday.

Market Live: IndiGo Share Price In Focus 

IndiGo share price swinged on Wednesday. The stock hit an intraday low of 0.86% but later gained to trade 0.15% higher at Rs 5,939.50.

For the company air traffic for the first 15 days of July 2025 dropped 4% YoY to 62.7 lakh and average daily air traffic at 4.18 lakh vs 4.36 lakh YoY.

JFS share price declined 0.68% on Wednesday but later pared losses to trade 0.39% lower despite JioBlackrock a joint venture between Jio Financial Services and Blakcrock receiving SEBI's approval for four passive funds.

Nifty PSU Bank was top gainer in Wednesday's trade as earnings season kicked off. Nifty PSU Bank was up over 1.5%.

DB Corp Ltd.'s shares slumped 4% after the company reported a 31% drop in Q1 net profit to Rs 80.8 crore. Revenue declined 5.2% year-on-year to Rs 559 crore.

Nifty 50 Live: Shriram Fiance, M&M And JSW Steel Drag

In the benchmark index Nifty 50, Shriram Finance marked the deepest losses as it was down over 3% during early trade. Names like Mahindra and Mahindra, JSW Steel and Tata Motors were also trading in the red.

Companies like Trent, Wipro, Adani Ports and Tech Mahindra were trading higher. HDFC Bank shares were also up nearly 1% up.

The GIFT Nifty was trading near 25,200 early Wednesday. The futures contract based on the benchmark Nifty 50 fell 0.35% at 25,177 as of 6:45 a.m. indicating a negative start for the Indian markets.

India's benchmark equity indices snapped four sessions of losses to close higher on Tuesday, led by gains in auto and financial stocks. HCL Technologies Ltd. took a beating after June quarter disappointment.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 113.5 points or 0.45% higher at 25,195.8, while the BSE Sensex closed 317.45 points or 0.39% up at 82,570.91. Intraday, the Nifty tested the 25,100 level before positive momentum took over. The index gained as much as 0.65% during the session.
