Shark Tank India Season 4 has already had its share of controversies. Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal stunned everyone with his claims about being dropped from the show. Goyal, who was part of the show in the previous season, claimed he was dropped from the judges' panel due to the title sponsor Swiggy, which is a rival of his company, Zomato.
However, the makers denied the claims and cited other issues for Goyal. Responding to a question on Goyal, Danish Khan, business head, Sony LIV and StudioNext, told India Today, "Everything that comes in newspapers is not always true. We would love to have him (Deepinder) at some point. One needs to understand that we have around 50 episodes, and there are permutations regarding the sharks' availability."
