WhatsApp has rolled out its latest iOS beta via Apple’s TestFlight, upgrading the app to version 25.28.10.73, according to WABetaInfo. WhatsApp has begun introducing an interactive feature allowing users to include question boxes in their status updates, now accessible to select beta testers.

The iOS beta version 25.28.10.73 of WhatsApp has been confirmed as a compatible release, though certain users might find the feature available in the earlier version as well, WABetaInfo said. Currently limited to a section of beta testers, the feature is expected to reach a broader audience in the weeks ahead.

The report said that WhatsApp is bringing its interactive status question feature to iOS, matching the functionality already enjoyed by Android users. The move is part of a wider push to increase engagement by broadening the reach of its interactive status tools.

Following the release of the latest iOS beta, version 25.28.10.73 via TestFlight, it has emerged that the platform is introducing the ability to add question boxes directly into status updates.

For select beta testers, WhatsApp now offers an option to place interactive question boxes within their status updates by using a special sticker over photos or videos. This feature lets users pose any question. It encourages contacts to respond directly from the status view.

The addition turns routine updates into a more dynamic form of interaction, providing an easy way to spark conversations and collect feedback from viewers.

When a status update features a question sticker, the way viewers interact with it depends on whether the function has been enabled for their account.

If their access is not yet active, WhatsApp shows a notice explaining that the update contains a feature they cannot currently use. For those with access, responses can be entered straight into the question box shown on the accompanying photo or video.

Each time a viewer replies to a question sticker, WhatsApp issues a push notification to the status creator, providing instant awareness of audience interaction. The alert offers a brief preview of the reply, enabling the author to access the status and read the complete response without delay.
