Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be priced around Rs 87,150 ($999), according to a tipster. The smartphone, which was showcased at MWC 2025, is set to launch globally in April.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: What to Expect
The tipster, Ice Universe, has revealed on X that the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 6.65-inch AMOLED display, slightly smaller than the 6.7-inch Galaxy S25+. The tipster added that the narrower bezels will resemble the S25 Ultra model.
While specific display details are yet to be confirmed, it might support a high refresh rate and QHD+ resolution for sharp visuals and vibrant colours.
Ultra-Slim and Lightweight Design
Samsung seems to be focusing on a slimmer and lighter design for the Galaxy S25 Edge:
Thickness: 5.84mm, making it 1.46mm slimmer than the Galaxy S25+.
Weight: 162g, significantly lighter than the S25+ (195g).
This design shift could make the S25 Edge one of the slimmest Galaxy S-series smartphones ever. The lighter build is likely due to a smaller battery compared to the S25+.
Dual-Camera Setup Instead of a Triple Camera System
Unlike the Galaxy S25+, which features a triple-camera system, the S25 Edge is expected to come with two rear cameras.
While details about the camera sensors remain unknown, Samsung may include a high-resolution primary sensor with AI-powered enhancements for improved photography.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset and One UI 7 Expected
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to share core specs with the S25+, including:
Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for Galaxy
12GB RAM for smooth multitasking
Android 15-based One UI 7
Durability
Reports suggest Samsung may switch to a ceramic back panel instead of glass, making the device more resistant to drops and scratches.
Samsung MX VP Annika Bizon recently addressed durability concerns, saying that the phone’s thin profile wouldn’t compromise strength, according to Gadgets360.
