It is rare that a gaming company with an extremely successful game in the market (GTA 5) takes so long to roll out its next avatar. The thought behind this may have to do with two things: One is that if it is not broken, why try to fix it and GTA 5 is definitely still one of the most popular games in the world; and secondly, Rockstar must have thought that it cannot get GTA 6 wrong and therefore, is taking its own sweet time to announce its launch.

And this has also ensured that fans have been running wild with speculation regarding when it will be released, and what new gameplay upgrades it will feature. Rockstar Games has remained tight-lipped but some details have emerged about what's coming next.

At the time GTA 5 was released in 2013, PlayStation and Xbox users got it for Rs 3,499 while PC users had to shell out Rs 2,499 to buy it. However, things have changed and game prices have changed. According to reports, GTA 6 could be priced at just under Rs 6000 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S. Then there might be a premium edition priced at just over Rs 7000. These are the numbers coming off the back of game development costs and anticipated upgrades in GTA 6. There is nothing official about it. In fact, Rockstar and parent company Take-Two interactive has maintained a shroud of secrecy over the project and there has been just one major leak.

GTA 5 was first released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 before making its way to newer consoles and PC. However, GTA 6 is going to take a different approach. The only thing that Rockstar has been willing to disclose is the GTA 6 launch date (The Fall of 2025). Notably, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S it is expected to be released sometime in the Fall of 2025, while for PC players it will likely have to wait until 2027.

Rockstar did roll out GTA 6 trailer 1 and everyone is trying to figure out when trailer 2 will be released.

The series normally had one lead character, but GTA 5 had three playable characters: Michael, Franklin and Trevor. But the first female GTA 6 protagonist will be Lucia, accompanied by a male companion as well as other new characters. Most of all, their storylines are strongly interwoven, providing fresh gameplay elements, according to a number of reports.

GTA 6 is also rumoured to have a bigger map and better graphics apart from the changes in its characters. And if Rockstar remains true to its roots, players can expect an even more immersive experience.
