Suzlon Energy Ltd.'s consolidated net profit jumped 90% on an annual basis in the third quarter of the current financial year, beating analysts' estimates.
The wind turbine manufacturer posted a profit of Rs 386 crore in the third quarter, according to an exchange filing on Tuesday. Analysts polled by Bloomberg had estimated a profit of Rs 350 crore.
Suzlon Energy Q3 FY25 Highlights (Consolidated, YoY)
Revenue up 91% to Rs 2,968.8 crore versus Rs 1,552.9 crore (Bloomberg estimate: Rs 2,855 crore).
Ebitda up 106% to Rs 498.6 crore versus Rs 239.7 crore (Estimate: Rs 431 crore).
Margin expands 136 basis points to 16.79% versus 15.43% (Estimate: 15.1%)
Net profit up 90% to Rs 386.5 crore versus Rs 203.2 crore (Estimate: Rs 350 crore)
Segment-Wise Revenue
Wind turbine generator: Revenue up 2.33 times.
Foundry and forging: Revenue up 65%.
Operations and maintenance: Revenue up 13%.
Order Book & Capacity
Suzlon Energy's total order book as of Jan 2025 stands at 5521 MW. This marks a 3.4 times jump from the 2290 MW in Dec 2023. 58% of the company's order book is from retail or commercial and industrial clients, 21% is from central and state auctions, while the balance is from public sector undertakings.
Suzlon has also reached a total manufacturing capacity of 4.5 GW due to the revamped Puducherry and Daman Nacelle facilities.
Operational Performance
The company's saw a surge in annual deliveries to 447 MW versus 170 MW a year ago. The company's deliveries for the nine months of financial year 2025 stood at 997 MW, compared to 437 MW in the same period a year ago.
