Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd.'s consolidated net profit fell 4.1% in the fourth quarter of the current financial year.
The company's net profit came in at Rs 459.2 crore in the quarter ended March, as compared to Rs 478.6 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations declined 4.3% to Rs 6,427 crore in the fourth quarter, as against Rs 6,714 crore in the year-ago period.

Before the quarterly results were declared, shares of RVNL closed 0.7% lower at Rs 412.1 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 0.51% decline in the benchmark Sensex.
