CBSE Class 12 Results 2025 OUT: 88.39% Pass: Check Direct Link, Steps To Download Marksheet

This year, 88.39% candidates have cleared the 12th board exams, marginally up from last year's pass percentage of 87.98%.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results 2025 on Tuesday. Students have been given several methods to access their board exam results this year.

Girls once again outperformed boys by a margin of 5.94%, recording a pass percentage of 91.64%, slightly up from 91.52% in 2024. Boys registered a pass percentage of 85.70%, an improvement from 85.12% the previous year. The transgender category achieved a 100% pass percentage in 2025, a significant jump from 50% in 2024.

Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage with 99.60%, followed by Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%. Other high-performing regions included Bengaluru with 95.95%, Delhi West with 95.37%, and Delhi East with 95.06%.

Earlier, the Centre-backed cloud-based document storage platform, DigiLocker, hinted at the result announcement.

Where Will The CBSE Board Exam Results Be Announced?

To check the results, the CBSE provides three main websites: cbse.gov.incbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. Additionally, results can also be checked through DigiLocker. CBSE has also enabled SMS-based access to scores for students.

Steps To Check CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Results

  1. Visit the official CBSE website: https://cbseresults.nic.in.

  2. Click on any of the three links displaying “Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Results 2025”.

  3. Enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID.

  4. Click on “Submit”.

  5. Your result will be displayed on the screen.

  6. Download and print the result for future reference.

Steps To Check Class 12 Board Exam Results Via DigiLocker

  1. Get the 6-digit access code from your school.

  2. Visit https://cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in/activatecbse

  3. Activate your DigiLocker account using your roll number, school code, and access code.

  4. Verify your mobile number with OTP and complete the activation process.

  5. Log in to DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in.

  6. Go to Issued Documents, select CBSE, and download your digital marksheet.

How Many Class 10, 12 Students Appeared In CBSE Board Exams 2025?

This year, about 42 lakh students appeared for the national-level board exam, handled by the education ministry. For class 10, the exams began mid-February and concluded on March 18. The class 12 students gave their exams from mid-February to April 4.

In 2024, more than 22 lakh students appeared in the class 10 CBSE board exams across India. Of these, 20,95,467 passed, taking the pass percentage to 93.60%. According to the board’s data, more than 14 lakh class 12 students appeared in CBSE board exams last year, of which 87.98% passed the exams.

During the result announcement, the CBSE is expected to share detailed information about the total students, pass percentage, state-wise performance, and other things.
