Air India Express launched a direct flight service between Bengaluru and Bangkok ahead of the festive season. The airline is offering special fares for the route to celebrate the launch.
Air India Express will run the flights daily between Bangkok and Bengaluru from Oct 18. The flights from Bengaluru will depart at 11 a.m. and it will arrive at Bangkok 16:45 p.m. daily. Flights from Bangkok will depart from 17:45 and arrive at Bengaluru at 20:30, as per the information on the press release.
The special introductory fares start at Rs 16,800 apiece for a round trip. The one-way fare for Bengaluru–Bangkok is Rs 9,000 and for Bangkok–Bengaluru is Rs 8,850 apiece. Travellers can book their flights from Air India Express's website, mobile application, and other major booking channels.
Travellers from Bengaluru and surrounding region will benefit from this new launch, especially in upcoming holiday season. Bangkok is one of Southeast Asia's most visited destination. Therefore, connecting it to Bengaluru, the airline's largest domestic station, strengthens Air India Express's presence in Thailand, the airline said in the press release.
Air India Express operates 440 weekly flights from Bengaluru and connects 30 domestic destinations and four international destinations, according to the press release.
The airline has expanded its domestic network from Bengaluru as it launched new direct services to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun to enhance the connectivity between the IT capital and these cities, Air India Express said.
Air India Express has already connected Bangkok to Lucknow, Pune, and Surat. The airline operates direct flights between Hyderabad and Phuket, according to the airline.
The airline, a subsidiary of Air India, offers Xpress Biz seats, which is equivalent to business-class seats, across more than 40 new aircrafts. It also offers Xpress Ahead priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling, the airline said.
Air India Express is also celebrating India's rich heritage with over 50 unique tail designs inspired by traditional art forms from more than 25 states. It's part of the airline's 'Tales of India Initiative'.
