Bihar Election Result 2025 Live: Jan Suraaj's First Reaction To Poll Debacle

Jan Suraaj Bihar president Manoj Bharti on early trends showing NDA’s victory said, “We have been saying from the start that we are trying to bring new politics to Bihar. It is tough to take this politics to the people of Bihar. Prashant Kishor always said if people understood what we were saying, we would be on top; if they didn’t, we would fail. These trends show that people have failed to understand us, and we also failed to make them understand.”

The JSP is not leading on a single seat.

Purnia Election Results 2025: BJP's Vijay Kumar Khemka Further Expands Lead

The BJP has further strengthened its position in the Purnia Assembly seat as counting progresses. Vijay Kumar Khemka now has 17,713 votes, or 63.5%.

Congress candidate Jitendra Kumar is in second place with 8,790 votes, accounting for 31.5%. Santosh Kumar Singh of the JSP has 799 votes, while Rajiv Kumar Roy of the BSP has 167.

Independent candidates Kaneez Fatma and Lakhander Sah have 98 and 89 votes respectively. AAP’s Aditya Lal has 90 votes. Other independents, including Aslam Azad and Ajay Swarn, have 84 and 49 votes. NOTA stands at 156 votes, or 0.6%.

A total of 27,879 valid votes have been counted so far.

The NDA is leading in more than 170 seats in Bihar, solidifying its grip in the contest it was widely projected to win.

"JD(U) will at least bag 80 seats," said party leader KC Tyagi.

Purnia Election Results 2025: BJP's Vijay Kumar Khemka Extends Lead

The Purnia Assembly seat shows the BJP widening its lead in the latest round of counting. Vijay Kumar Khemka of the BJP now has 9,152 votes, or 63.5%, placing him well ahead of the Congress candidate, Jitendra Kumar, who has 4,533 votes, or 31.5%.

Santosh Kumar Singh of the JSP has 430 votes, while BSP candidate Rajiv Kumar Roy has 96. Independent candidates and nominees from smaller parties have secured between 24 and 46 votes each. AAP’s Aditya Lal has 35 votes. NOTA has registered 78 votes, accounting for 0.5%.

A total of 14,405 valid votes have been counted so far. The BJP leads Purnia by 4,619 votes.

Vijay Kumar Khemka of the BJP is leading in the Purnia Assembly seat with 4,638 votes, giving him 66.78% of the counted votes. The early tally places Congress candidate Jitendra Kumar in second place with 2,034 votes, or 29.29%.

The JSP’s Santosh Kumar Singh has 161 votes, while BSP candidate Rajiv Kumar Roy has 28. Independent candidates Adam Azad and Lakhendar Sah have 26 and 18 votes respectively.

AAP candidate Aditya Lal has 16 votes, and independent candidates Kaneez Fatma and Ajay Swarn have 13 and 11 votes.
