SJVN Ltd. has paid an interim dividend of Rs 121.33 crore to the Himachal Pradesh government for the financial year 2024-25, according to a company statement released on Wednesday.
The state government holds a 26.85% stake in the hydroelectric power generation firm. Another 55% stake is held by the central government, whereas public shareholders own 18.15%.
"For FY25, an interim dividend of Rs 451.93 crore has been declared by the company. Rs 248.55 crore has been paid to the Government of India and Rs 82.05 crore has been paid to public shareholders as interim dividend," SJVN Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma said.
Currently, SJVN is engaged in the implementation of 95 power projects spanning hydro, solar, wind, pumped storage, and thermal power generation across India and Nepal.
The company's installed capacity stands at 2,708.27 MW, and its total project portfolio is substantial, reaching 66,107.4 MW. Looking ahead, SJVN has ambitious growth targets, aiming to become a 25,000 MW company by 2030 and further expanding to 50,000 MW by 2040.
Shares of SJVN Ltd. closed 0.89% higher at Rs 95.03 per share on the NSE, compared to a 0.47% uptick in the benchmark Nifty 50. The share price has fallen 25.47% in the last 12 months and 8.98% year-to-date.
Three out of the five analysts tracking the company have a 'buy' rating on the stock, one suggests a 'hold,' and one recommends a 'sell', according to Bloomberg.
