Inox Wind Ltd. has secured a 153-megawatt order for wind turbines in Tamil Nadu from a global clean energy company, the company said in a statement.
The contract includes the supply of 51 turbines, each with a 3-megawatt capacity. Inox Wind will also provide limited-scope engineering, procurement and construction services for the project, as well as multi-year operations and maintenance services.
The order marks a significant milestone for Inox Wind, which is part of the $12 billion InoxGFL Group. The company is India's leading wind energy solutions provider, servicing independent power producers, utilities, public sector undertakings and corporate investors.
