Jeet Adani, the younger son of billionaire Gautam Adani, will marry Diva Shah in an intimate ceremony with close family and friends in attendance on Friday. Jeet and Diva will take their marital vows in a traditional and simple ceremony.

Jeet, 27, joined the business in 2019, after graduating with a degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been overseeing the group’s superapp initiative as well as its airports, petrochemicals and defense businesses.

Diva, the daughter of Surat-based diamond merchant Jaimin Shah, has worked with the Adani’s charitable foundation on its disability program over the past year. She was introduced to her fiancé through a family friend, Jeet revealed during a recent appearance on the Shark Tank India television show.

Jeet and Diva had started their wedding celebrations with the pledge to donate Rs 10 lakh each to 500 specially-abled girls for their weddings every year. Named ‘Mangal Seva,’ the philanthropic initiative aims to help specially-abled girls start their married lives.

Celebrity designer Manish Malhotra has joined hands with non-governmental organisation Family of Disabled to create custom shawls for the ceremony.

Gautam Adani, speaking last month at the Kumbh Mela, emphasised the family’s values. “The wedding will be a simple and traditional family affair,” he had said.

The Indian billionaire had dismissed speculations that international celebrities like Taylor Swift might perform at the ceremony, stating that his family follows a more modest approach. “My upbringing and our way of doing things are that of a common person from the working class,” he shared.

The Adani family follows Jain traditions, which advocates values such as non-violence, frugality and asceticism and meaningful contributions to society. According to the wedding invitation seen by Bloomberg, the event aims to "set a trend of redirecting wasteful expenditure toward more meaningful contributions to society."
