From Kesari Chapter 2 To Jaat — List Of Upcoming Films Releasing In April 2025

From Akshay Kumar's patriotic drama Kesari Chapter 2 to Nushrratt Bharuccha’s horror thriller Chhorii 2, you will be spoilt for choice. 

To help you out, we have compiled a list of all the films that will be available in theaters and on OTT platforms in April 2025.

The Akshay Kumar-headlined project will be released on April 18. R Madhavan and Ananya Panday are also part of the film. Kesari Chapter 2 has been backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. 

The Karan Singh Tyag directorial is set against the backdrop of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre. 

Sunny Deol’s Jaat will meet Randeep Hooda’s bad guy avatar in the action entertainer. The film will open to theatres on April 10. Viineet Kumar Siingh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, and Swarupa Ghosh are also part of the film. It has been directed by Gopichand Malineni.

Emraan Hashmi is all set to step into the role of a BSF Deputy Commandant in the film inspired by true events. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, Ground Zero is an action thriller inspired by a real-life BSF (Border Security Force) operation that involved a two-year-long investigation into a high-stakes national security threat.

Based on the life of the legendary social reformer Jyotirao Phule, the film stars Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa in the lead roles. The historical drama explores the extraordinary accomplishments of Jyotirao Phule along with Savitribai Phule and how they battled for the rights of women and marginalized people in the 19th century.

The iconic duo of Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal returns for the most awaited sequel, scheduled to arrive in theaters in April 2025. It revolves around Christian Wolff, who opts for unorthodox methods to solve a murder case involving Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson). The film also stars JK Simmons, Allison Robertson, Alison Wright, and Daniella Pineda. It will be available in theaters on April 25.

Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, the upcoming period supernatural horror stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as he plays twin brothers Smoke and Stack. Set in the 1930s United States, the film explores the story of brothers whose return to their hometown results in a chain of events that can burn the entire town to ashes. The film will be available in cinemas on April 18, 2025.

Minecraft boasts a stellar ensemble featuring Jason Momoa, Jack Black and Emma Myers in the lead roles. The action-adventure epic is about four misfits who find themselves in a cubic world after being unexpectedly pulled into a mysterious portal. The film will be released in theaters on April 4, 2025.

Starring Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead, the film is all set to stream on April 11. A follow-up to the 2021 movie, the film will see Nushrratt reprising Sakhi, a mother who fights against paranormal forces and societal evils to protect his daughter. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film also stars Soha Ali Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen and Hardika Sharma in the lead roles.
