February is one of the most significant months of the calendar in terms of festivals and events, despite being shorter than other months. It marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, ushering in a variety of celebrations, events, and important days.

February is also the month when the Finance Minister of the country presents the Union Budget, deciding the direction of the country’s economic activity and growth during the year. This year, Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget on Feb 2.

Another significant political event in February this year is on the fifth day of the month when the people of Delhi will vote to elect their next Chief Minister and other MLAs. The Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled for February 5, will witness a three-way contest between the Aam Aadmi Party, BJP, and Congress.

Results of the Delhi Elections will be announced on Saturday, Feb. 8.

On Feb. 14, the world will celebrate the day of love, Valentine’s Day. This day as mentioned is dedicated to love, with couples celebrating it with much fervour. 

Feb. 19 will mark a significant beginning in the cricket world, with the ICC Champions Trophy kicking off on the day. The tournament will go on till March 9.
