'Black Mirror' Season 7 To 'You' Season 5: Top Five OTT Shows To Release In April 2025

The OTT slate for April looks promising. Popular shows are returning with fresh seasons. Oh, and, new ones are waiting to captivate binge-watchers with exciting storylines. From gritty thrillers to witty sitcoms, the list covers all genres, perfect for every mood.

Perhaps, one of the most-awaited fresh releases is the animated horror fantasy Devil May Cry. The series is a Netflix adaptation of the same-titled Japanese fantasy video game franchise. So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the top 5 web series coming this April. 

Devil May Cry, created by Adi Shankar, follows the story of demon-hunter-for-hire Dante. Despite his profession, Dante is conflicted at heart as he navigates the human and demon realms. Amid this, sinister forces are at play, attempting to unlock the gates to Hell. Johnny Yong Bosch will voice Dante. 

This German teen comedy-drama has been held in high regard for its unique plot, emotional depth and comic elements. Season 4 is expected to come with major revelations and intense twists. The show follows the life of Moritz Zimmermann, an ordinary high school student, who accidentally turns into an Internet drug baron. Maximilian Mundt plays the lead in the series. 

Charlie Brooker, the creator-writer of Black Mirror, will be introducing several science fiction storylines for the 7th season. It will address topics like technology, human awareness and artificial intelligence. The returning cast members include Michele Austin, Ben Bailey Smith, Asim Chaudhry and Josh Finan. 

The 7th and final season of Young Sheldon, the prequel to the iconic Big Bang Theory, will shed light on how the Cooper family copes with a tragedy. Ian Armitage is set to reprise his role as Sheldon. He sets forward on a transformative journey, leaving his home and going to a Californian college. He experiences independence while navigating new obstacles. 

The ever-charming Penn Badgley will once again slip into his sinister role of Joe Goldberg in You season 5. While the trailer indicates that he is leading a happy married life, Joe finds himself being pulled towards his murderous tendencies (again). Kate Lockwood, played by Charlotte Ritchie, is his new love interest-slash-target.
