The new Samsung Galaxy S25 mobile phones are anticipated to have Qi2 wireless charging using extended power profile technology, according to a user's post on X.
The new models are expected to not use 'MagSafe' charging technology that uses magnets, instead opting for a wirless 'EPP' style of charging, which is meant to charge the device faster at the speed of 25 watt instead of the existing 15W limit.
According to the recent leaks, the phones are likely to have the same battery sizes as previous Samsung Galaxy S24 devices.
According to the leaker, Samsung would also provide a first party case, with a magnet ring to facilitate device attachment during wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which includes Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models, may launch at Samsung's 'Unpacked' event on Jan. 22, 2025.
Noted phone leaker Evan Blass shared renders of the Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra variants which showed rounded edges and thinner bezels.
Blass had also leaked their alleged launch poster which had a star symbol, commonly associated with artificial intelligence, fuelling speculation its likely that the devices may be powered by a new AI assistant.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature an upgraded telephoto lens with enhanced zoom capabilities, along with an improved ultrawide sensor.
The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ may see minor camera upgrades in comparison. Samsung has confirmed the use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. All models in the lineup are expected to be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor.
Samsung has also said to be developing the Galaxy S25 Slim, a thinner model in the Galaxy S25 series. The device’s selling point is meant to be that it is notably thinner than previous Samsung brand phones.
