Just about a week remains until Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, which will take place from June 9-13. Ahead of the event, Apple replaced its “On the horizon” tagline with the new “Sleek peek” tagline on its WWDC page.
“Sleek peek” could well be a preview of what’s in store: a sleek new design of the rebranded iOS 26 (or iOS 19 as was earlier presumed)—which is believed to have a glass-like, visionOS-inspired appearance.
How could your iPhone interface look after the biggest iOS overhaul in a decade? Here’s a look.
Redesigned UI On iPhones
The UI of iOS 26 is expected to get a major redesign. Apple intends to integrate visionOS components into iOS (along with macOS and other OS) in order to standardise the user experience. Hence, iOS 26 may bring more translucent elements and rounder app icons to your iPhone.
Dual Capture On iPhone Pro; Minimalist Camera App
The Camera app on iPhone Pro models will likely be able to capture with front and rear cameras simultaneously. The app’s bottom navigation bar has reportedly been made minimalist, and Photo and Video will display options in a menu that you can scroll horizontally.
Floating Dock At The Bottom Of iPhones
A pill-shaped dock that floats at the bottom of your iPhone screen is reportedly something Apple is planning to add. All native apps, including those from the App Store, Music, Phone and TV, will probably have the dock.
Dedicated Gaming App On iPhones
It is anticipated that a dedicated gaming app will come pre-installed on all new iPhones introduced later this year, promoting Apple Arcade and third-party App Store titles.
AI-Powered Calendar
Apple’s acquisition of Mayday, an AI calendar app, suggests addition of AI elements to the Calendar app.
