Errol Musk, father of the world's richest man Elon Musk, has just one piece of advice for his son: "Get some rest".

Speaking to NDTV Profit during his first-ever visit to India, the 78-year-old South African engineer-turned-entrepreneur praised Elon's work ethic but stressed the need for balance.

"I cannot give Elon any advice. He is a workaholic. So, keep it up if you can. But, I do say this to him, whenever we talk, that 'try and take a break'," he said.

"He is 53, but he still works like he is in his 30s. That's something I learn from my kids—that they have not slowed down in spite of age," Musk added.

Currently in India for a series of key meetings related to the green energy sector, Errol Musk was recently appointed to the Global Advisory Board of NSE-listed Servotech Power Systems— a player in EV charging and solar solutions.

Reflecting on Elon Musk’s long-awaited visit to India, Errol said: "I am quite surprised that he has not been in India yet. I was under the impression that he has visited India at least once, but if he has not, he is making a big mistake."

On the Indian economy and markets, he remarked, "What I can see, India is on the verge of a booming economy. Delhi is leading the way, in many ways. We are in good times for India."

Gravity And Space-Time Travel Study Essential

Errol Musk calls for the need to study gravity and space-time travel. "I feel that we need to start studying intensively gravity and we need to start studying space-time travel. It does sound a bit different. But actually, 100 years ago, scientists were doing that—Einstein and others who were studying that were focusing on those problems."

"If we don’t solve those problems, we will be the same and stuck on Earth 100 years from now," he explained.

Senior Musk highlighted that we should start institutes or places of study to find out how gravity really works.

When it comes to conversations with Elon Musk, he said, "Space rockets and EVs were longtime topics at home. We are on the same page when it comes to such things."

"One that fascinates me the most, that we did not talk much about when they were young. Neuralink is one project that has amazed me. I have been inside the laboratories—it’s absolutely incredible," he said.

"They are talking about rejoining spinal cords, enabling the blind to see with some different kind of vision, restoring hearing to people... these are some of the major things that we can be reporting soon. Controlling computers via brain—not a sci-fi anymore," he added.
