Confirmed! Nothing Phone 3a Launch Set For This Date; Chip, Price, And What Else Is Coming

The Nothing Phone 3a launch date has been confirmed and is all set to be revealed on March 4, 2025, according to reports. The company has revealed some key changes and details of the upcoming smartphone ahead of the big day. Carl Pei, the CEO himself has confirmed that the new Nothing Phone 3a will run on a Snapdragon chipset in preference to the MediaTek Dimensity that ran in the predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2a. Along with that, the brand is also promising major performance upgrades, notably in CPU speed and AI processing. Nothing Phone 3a price on launch may be anything between Rs 23999 to Rs 25999.

In a post, Pei announced the switch from MediaTek back to Qualcomm, writing, 'I’m happy to announce that we are going back to Qualcomm Snapdragon series with the Phone (3a).'" 

He didn’t specify what the exact details will be, though he noted that the CPU would be 25% faster and the NPU (neural processing unit) would increase by a massive 72% from the Phone 2a Plus.

Nothing Phone 3a leaks suggest that the smartphone could come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.

The rumored Phone 3a specs and features include a 6.8-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15.

Additionally, the Phone 3a is also expected to retain the brand's signature Glyph interface.

Among the latest Nothing Phone 3a leaks is the news of an additional button on the right side of the device on the lines of the latest iPhones in the market. Some think it may be a camera shortcut, others say it may be an action button for AI functions or custom shortcuts.

The Nothing Phone 3a series will be built in Chennai where the company's manufacturing plant has over 500 employees. Majority of them are women (95%).
