All matches between India and Pakistan at ICC events during the 2024-2027 rights cycle will be held at neutral venues, the International Cricket Council announced on Thursday.
This rule applies to men's and women's events, including the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 hosted by Pakistan, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 hosted by India, and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and hosts Pakistan. The tournament schedule is yet to be confirmed. The teams will be divided into two groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals. India last toured Pakistan during the 2008 Asia Cup, while Pakistan visited India for the ODI World Cup in 2023.
The Pakistan Cricket Board will also host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028, with neutral venue arrangements applicable for India-Pakistan matches.
