Wipro Ltd. on Friday announced an interim dividend of Rs 6 per equity share of Rs 2 each of the members of the company.
The record date for the dividend is set for Jan. 28, 2025, and the payment for the same will be done on or before Feb. 15, the exchange filing said on Friday.
IT major's revenue was flat at Rs 22,319 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal 2025, according to an exchange filing on Friday. That compares with the Rs 22,218-crore consensus estimate of analysts tracked by Bloomberg.
The company's net profit during the October-December period came in at Rs 3,367 crore, marking a sequential climb of 4% as compared to the preceding quarter.
Shares of Wipro closed 2.12% lower at Rs 281.95 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, compared to a 0.47% fall in the benchmark Nifty. The share price has risen 16.89% in the last 12 months.
Out of 45 analysts tracking the company, eight maintain a 'buy' rating on the stock, 13 recommend 'hold,' and 24 suggest 'sell,' according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' price targets implies a potential upside of 0.3%.
Dividend Announced By Other IT Firms
Earlier, Tata Consultancy Services declared a third interim dividend of Rs 10 and a special dividend of Rs 66 per equity share of Rs 1 each of the company.
The third interim and the special dividend will be paid on Feb. 3, 2025, to the shareholders of the company and the record date for it is set for Jan. 17.
HCLTech also announced a fourth interim dividend of Rs 18 per share, of face value of Rs 2 each, for fiscal 2025.
