Voltas Q4 Results: Profit Doubles But Misses Estimates; Dividend Of Rs 7

Voltas Ltd. reported a strong year-over-year performance in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024–25, yet missed the Street's expectations.

The Tata Group company's consolidated net profit surged 107% to Rs 241 crore from Rs 116 crore in the year-ago period, according to a stock exchange filing on Wednesday. The significant jump fell short of the projected Rs 264.1 crore as per analysts' consensus estimates compiled by Bloomberg. For the whole year, the bottom line more than tripled to Rs 841 crore.

  • Revenue up 13% to Rs 4,767 crore versus Rs 4,203 crore (Bloomberg estimate: Rs 4,873.1 crore)

  • Net profit up 107% to Rs 241 crore versus Rs 116 crore (Bloomberg estimate: Rs 264.1 crore)

  • Ebitda up 75% to Rs 333 crore versus Rs 190 crore (Bloomberg estimate: Rs 365.2 crore)

  • Margin at 7% versus 4.5%. (Bloomberg estimate: 7.5%)

Business Internals

Voltas' revenue from the unitary cooling products segment rose 17% in the fourth quarter to Rs 2,956 crore.

"Overall, volume growth for the year ended was recorded at 36%, with growth in certain allied categories, like air coolers. Voltas remains the market leader in both split and window air-conditioners," according to a press release.

Revenue from electro-mechanical projects and services, which encompass both domestic and international projects businesses, rose 3.6% to Rs 1,137.6 crore.

The engineering products and services segment faced certain headwinds in its performance, owing to macro-economic factors and likewise, the challenges faced by the industry. Sales dropped 15% to Rs 132 crore in the March quarter.

Voltas Dividend

The Voltas board recommended a dividend of Rs 7 per share for FY25 which shall be paid on or after the fifth day from the conclusion of the upcoming annual general meeting, subject to the approval of shareholders. The dividend aggregates to Rs 231.5 crore for over 2.8 lakh shareholders.

The record date will be announced later. In FY24, the company paid a final dividend of Rs 5.5 per share.
