HCLTech Declares Fourth Interim Dividend Along With Q3 Results

HCLTech Ltd. announced a special Rs 6 dividend to mark 25 years since its public listing, alongside a 8.4% rise in net profit for the December quarter, reaching Rs 4,591 crore.

HCLTech Ltd. on Monday said its board of directors has declared a fourth interim dividend of Rs 18 per share, of face value of Rs 2 each, for fiscal 2025.

"This includes a special dividend of Rs. 6/- per share to celebrate 25 years of the company’s public listing," it said in an exchange filing. The record date for the dividend is set for Jan. 17, with payment scheduled for Jan. 24.

The company announced an interim dividend of Rs 12 apiece of Rs 2 each of the company during the second quarter. The record date for the interim dividend was set for Oct. 22.

HCLTech posted an 8.4% sequential rise in net profit, reaching Rs 4,591 crore for the December 2024 quarter, according to the consolidated financial results released on Monday. This figure aligns with the consensus estimate from analysts tracked by Bloomberg.

In the previous quarter, ending September 2024, the company’s net profit was Rs 4,235 crore.

The IT firm's revenue grew by 3.6% sequentially, reaching Rs 29,890 crore in the October-December period, up from Rs 28,862 crore in the prior quarter. However, it fell slightly short of the Rs 30,036 crore consensus estimate from Bloomberg analysts.

Earlier, Tata Consultancy Services announced its third interim dividend of Rs 10 and a special dividend of Rs 66 per equity share of Rs 1 each of the company.

This week, major information technology firms, including Wipro Ltd., Infosys Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., and LTIMindtree Ltd., will declare their third quarter earnings for fiscal 2025.

Shares of HCLTech closed 0.29% lower at Rs 1,989.40 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, compared to a 1.47% fall in the benchmark Nifty. The share price has risen 25.26% in the last 12 months.

Out of 44 analysts tracking the company, 21 maintain a 'buy' rating on the stock, 15 recommend 'hold,' and eight suggest 'sell,' according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' price targets implies a potential downside of 2.4%.
