Amber Enterprises Q1 segment results
Amber Enterprises said the company's growth was broad-based, led by a robust 97% jump in its electronics division revenue, followed by a 35% rise in consumer durables and 29% in the railway sub-system business.
Notably, the consumer durables segment was strong despite unseasonal rains and sluggish air-conditioner sales, contributing 75% to the overall revenue. Electronics and railway segments contributed 22% and 3% respectively.
Segmental margins, however, were under pressure in the June quarter. Consumer durables' margin fell 50 bps to 7%, electronics dropped 160 bps to 6.4%, and the railway sub-system margin declined 370 bps to 17.9%.
Brokerage Jefferies said the growth was largely sales-led and reaffirmed its ‘Buy’ rating on Amber Enterprises, calling it one of its key picks. The firm’s target price of ₹8,600 suggests a potential upside of over 15% from Monday’s close. Shares of Amber Enterprises have jumped 8% intraday to Rs 8,008.60 so far. The stock was last up 3.9% to 7,751 on the NSE.
