Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made his podcast debut on Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath's show. Kamath announced it on Thursday, sharing a trailer for the upcoming episode on social media.
In the promo, Kamath finally revealed his guest, saying: "It's a tough conversation for me to have. I am sitting with you and talking, I feel nervous."
Modi said that this is the first time that he is part of a podcast. "I don't know how this will turn out for your audience."
Kamath said that in the podcast, they would try to draw parallels between politics and entrepreneurship. "There are many similarities between the two that no one has talked about until now."
Kamath apologised for his Hindi, to which Modi replied: "So, this will work for both of us."
"Good people should keep coming into politics. They should come with a mission and not with an ambition," the prime minister said when asked whether a youngster needs any talent to become a politician today.
Reflecting on his career, Modi said: "When I became the chief minister, I said mistakes are inevitable. I, too, must have made mistakes."
"During this crisis, we have repeatedly said that we are not neutral. I am on the side of peace," he said of the ongoing crisis in the world.
Earlier in the promo released on Wednesday, Kamath was seen recounting a past meeting with the guest in Bengaluru, though the guest's identity remained concealed.
Last month, Kamath's 'People by WTF' podcast featured guests like artificial intelligence pioneer Yann LeCun and Aditya Birla Group Chairperson Kumar Mangalam Birla.
