Karnataka Proposes New Crowd-Control Bill After Bengaluru Stampede

This new bill plans to improve crowd management, with provisions for three years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 for violations.

Three weeks after the Bengaluru stampede, the state cabinet discussed and proposed on Thursday the Karnataka Crowd Control Bill, 2025.

This new bill plans to improve crowd management, with provisions for three years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 for violations.
