The Delhi Traffic Police have issued a revised traffic plan for February 20 to ensure smooth access to the Ram Leela Ground during the oath-taking ceremony for the new Chief Minister.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which ended the decade-long rule of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by winning 48 out of 70 seats in the recent Delhi Assembly elections, is expected to announce the new CM’s name on Wednesday. Preparations for the oath-taking ceremony of the new government in Delhi are underway in full swing.
Which Diversions Will Be In Place During Delhi CM Oath Ceremony?
The Delhi Traffic Police has announced eight diversion points in old Delhi to ensure smooth conduct of traffic during the swearing-in ceremony hours. These points are:

Delhi Gate
ITO
Ajmeri Gate
Ranjeet Singh Flyover

Which Roads Will Be Closed During Delhi CM Oath Ceremony?
Additionally, the Delhi Traffic Police have warned of potential diversion and restrictions on the following roads between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Feb. 20.

JLN Marg (Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk)
Aruna Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi
Minto Road to Round About Kamla Market to Hamdard Chowk

The police have also urged the public to use public transport to help avoid traffic congestion. Additionally, travellers heading towards New Delhi Railway Station have been advised by the police to use the Paharganj side road instead of the Ajmeri Gate side road to avoid potential traffic congestion.
BJP To Choose Delhi CM At Its Legislature Party Meeting
The much awaited decision about the new chief minister of Delhi will be made in the BJP legislature party meeting to be held at the party's Delhi unit office on Wednesday evening.
Preparations were complete for the legislature party meeting that is expected to begin around 7 p.m. at the Delhi BJP office, the party leaders said.
The 48 BJP MLAs will choose the Leader of the House in the Delhi Assembly who will become the chief minister.
The meeting will be held in the presence of BJP's central observers, whose names are yet to be declared. The new chief minister after being chosen by the party MLAs will meet Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at the Raj Niwas to stake claim to power.
Around 50,000 people, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his cabinet colleagues and the chief minister of NDA ruled states among other guests, will attend the ceremony.
